How to Apply

Thank you for considering Covenant Academy for your child(ren)!  We are passionate about classical Christian education and the impact this educational model will have on your children, your family, our community, and ultimately, our world.  We look forward to meeting you and helping you navigate the application process.

1. Get to Know Us and Schedule a Tour

Making a wise schooling choice for our children can feel a bit like climbing Mt. Everest.  We commend you for taking an important first step in this process by researching the options available to you.  With this in mind, we invite you to review our website to learn more about Covenant Academy, our mission, our philosophy and our curriculum.

I would love to answer any questions you may have and/or click Schedule a Tour (or select it from the menu) to schedule a visit to our campus, if you have not done so already.  If you have any questions or would like more information before beginning the application process, please feel free to email Melissa den Dulk or call the school office at 281.373.2233.

2. Submit an Application

Covenant Academy accepts applications for new students at any time. We review applications in the order they are received and placement in an open spot is based on the date of your completed Online Enrollment and payment of your enrollment fees. Therefore, we invite you to submit your application now in anticipation of the new school year!
  • To begin the Online Application process, click Create an Account (or select it from the menu).
  • Then Log in to Your Account and Create A New Student Application for your child. You will then have the flexibility to log in and out of your account and access your open application.
  • After submitting the application, you will be able to print the completed application(s), and if necessary reprint.  Note: A non-refundable Application Fee must be paid upon completion of each application.
  • Submit supplemental forms to the school office.

Your admissions file is begun once we receive your Online Application and application fee. For each individual student, we require the following important forms and documents on or before the family interview:

  • Copy of the Birth Certificate
(Pre-K applicants must be 4 years old and Kindergarten applicants must be 5 years old by Sept. 1)

  • Copy of the most recent Report Cards/Transcripts (or Progress Report for PK applicants)
  • Copy of the most recent Standardized Testing Scores or IEP (if applicable)

3. Complete the Academic Evaluation

Once we receive the application, you will be contacted in order to schedule a testing appointment for each student. All students are required to take an academic assessment administered by either the Grammar or Upper School Principal. This screening is to deternine the student's academic and behavioral preparedness for our rigorous curriculum. Testing time takes from 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on the grade level.

4. Attend the Family Interview

The family or parent interview is the final and most crucial part of our application process. After admisisons testing has been reviewed, the Admissions Office will extend invitaions for the parent interview. This is the time for us to get to know one another better and a time for you to ask questions. We want nothing more than success for each and every student and we believe a partnership between school and parents is the best path to success.  Students typically do not attend the interview and we understand when other arrangements cannot be made.

5. Enroll Online

All admissions decisions are communicated via email once the Family Interview is complete.  Once the Admission Committee makes a decision, you will be notified in writing via email regarding your child's admissions status.  Enrollment is completed and fees are paid electronically via our Online Enrollment process through the FACTS Family Portal.  Please note the following:

  • Classroom placement is not reserved until the enrollment fee has been paid.
  • All enrollment fees are non-refundable and must be paid upon completion of each enrollment.
  • If you enroll for a class that is currently full, your student will be placed in our waiting pool.
